Siyo!
Welcome to the official website of the Remember the Removal Legacy Association (RTRLA). We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of the original Remember the Removal bike riders by educating others about the Trail of Tears and its impact on Cherokee history.
Through this platform, we aim to provide valuable information about our organization, our mission, and the various programs and initiatives we undertake to honor the memory of those who endured the hardships of the Trail of Tears.
We invite you to explore our website, learn, and discover how you can get involved.
Special thank you to Traci Sorell who recently wrote a book about a few Alumni during their journey. Coming out August 2026!
“Follow Cherokee youth on a journey that retraces the Trail of Tears—from Georgia to Oklahoma. They ride in order to remember history and to link the past and the present through culture, resilience, and activism….This intriguing story, told in words and photographs, is about one year’s riders, and is penned by award-winning enrolled Cherokee Nation citizens— author Traci Sorell and journalist coauthor Will Chavez, who also served as the ride coordinator. “
